Swimming Lessons 

Swimming lessons at Kinsmen Lake will be back for 2025. Bookings will be done on-line through the Univerus on-line registration system. The registration link can be accessed through this page, once registration opens. Registration will be open mid-May. Please follow our Kinsmen Lake Facebook page for updates. Local residents and those staying in the campground will have first consideration for swimming lessons, followed by those from outside the local area.

Swimming lesson registration will be opening on-line in mid-May 2025.

Registrations will only be taken on-line. 

To make registration easier, make a client account in advance at Town of Stonewall - Public Access (univerusrec.com). Be sure to register all of your immediate family under one account. 

Local postal codes (Stonewall and surrounding areas) will be able to book starting mid-May 2025 with all others able to book one-week after. Campers staying in the Quarry Park Campground for the week of their desired lessons, are eligible for the early booking time and can call the Heritage Arts Centre Office at 204-467-7980 to register. Proof of campground reservation will be required.

This year we will be teaching Lifesaving Society lessons in one-week sessions except for the Rookie, Ranger and Star classes which will occur over two weeks. We have extended the length of the lessons each day to accommodate the material being covered. Kinsmen Lake will be making a concerted effort to get as many swimmers into lessons as possible this summer. 

Please ensure that your child is dressed in a swimsuit for their lessons, wetsuits are acceptable as well. Please do not send them in a life jacket unless requested to do so by the instructor. Swimmers will need their own towel and sunscreen. We recommend making sure your child has gone to the bathroom prior to the start of lessons. Parent/guardian will need to take them to the bathroom if needed during class time. We also ask that all swimmers are on-time and ready to go at the scheduled time of their class.

Lessons are on, rain or shine. If weather becomes dangerous ex. lightning/tornado warnings lessons may be delayed or reorganized to cover safety material that can be taught out of the water. If lessons are going to be cancelled, you will receive an email as soon as the decision has been made. Make up lessons will occur during a weekly session, only if time permits. Make up lessons may need to be rescheduled to another day.

Refunds will not be issued for non-attendance. Last date for a refund is 10 days prior to the start of your lessons.
