Outdoor Recreation
Come and discover the wide range of activities that the park has to offer!
Hike the trails in a new and interactive way with our Scavenger hunts! We have one for kids and one for older youth and adults. Scavenger Hunt lists can be picked up at the Heritage Arts Centre's front desk.
Bird watching & wildlife- Many different types of wildlife live or visit the park including, horned owls, eagles, Pileated Woodpeckers, songbirds, rabbits and muskrats.
Hiking/walking/biking trails- We have many great hiking/walking/biking trails throughout the park. Take a walk through our historic Interpretive Trail. Stop by the Heritage Arts Centre to pick up a trail guide brochure and learn about the parks history as a Limestone Quarry.
Native plants/pond- Enjoy a beautiful afternoon walk through the area and visit all the different native plant species, wildlife and of course the pond! Interesting bugs, tadpoles and other creatures can be found within!
Winter Recreation:
Skating on the pond *Lit up at night for those that enjoy night skating.
Tobogganing at Jimm's Hill
Cross country skiing- can be borrowed for free from the HAC building
Snowshoeing- can be borrowed for free from the HAC building
