Bunkies
*A credit card must be used for all rentals. A damage deposit of $200.00 will be held for each booking. This amount will be returned at the end of your stay (within approx. 5 business days) upon a satisfactory inspection of the rental. If the rental is free from damage, the deposit will be returned in full. No pets allowed on Bunkie sites; no animals are allowed inside.

All three Bunkies sleep up to 4 people (queen mattress in loft, double futon on main floor – no linens are provided)

- Personal safety items (whistle, first aid kit, sunscreen, bug repellant, matches/lighter, rope)
- Cooking equipment/tools
- Food and drinks
- Reusable water bottles
- Entertainment items (books, games, cards, or sporting equipment, portable TV/DVD)
Things to keep in mind:
FOOD: Cooking food may only be done outside. There is a BBQ with a side burner and a fire pit at all the Bunkie sites. All food should be stored inside the small bar fridge, in the vehicle or in a wildlife-proof locker.
FIRE: Be aware of any restrictions your location may have (ie: fire ban). Buy and burn local firewood, not deadfall or surrounding trees. Wood can be purchased at the campground office.
RESPECT: Respect nature. Leave nothing but footprints and take nothing but pictures! Please be respectful and maintain reasonable noise levels. Please leave your accommodation and site as tidy as you found it.
OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
- Please remove dirty footwear upon entering the Bunkie (bring slippers/clean shoes for inside if you wish).
- Maximum occupancy of four people.
- Smoking is not permitted inside or around the Bunkie and will result in a forfeit of your damage deposit.
- Pets are not permitted.
- Plan ahead for cooler days as this accommodation does not have an indoor heat source.
- No refunds for single night reservations. Refunds for multiple night reservations will be subject to $125.00 or $110.00 (dependent on which unit was booked). No refunds on long weekends or Quarry Days weekend. Minimum 2-night rental for long weekends and Quarry Days.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
General Rules and Regulations:
1. The maximum occupancy of a Bunkie is four (4) people. Renters who have guests at the property more than the pre-authorized number (specifically those named on the Bunkie Rental Agreement) are subject to immediate eviction without refund and/or with no return of the security deposit. Sub-letting of the Bunkie property is not permitted. Camping, tenting, trailers, or other additional accommodation facilities will not be allowed unless written permission has been granted by the Quarry Park Manager. Please note that any person, regardless of age, is counted as a person in the occupancy of a cabin.
2. A damage deposit of $200.00 will be held for each booking. This amount will be returned at the end of your stay (within 5 business days) upon inspection of the rental. If the rental is free from damage, the deposit will be returned in full. If damage is found, the Quarry Park Manager may use all or part of the security deposit for reimbursement. The deposit covers any damages to the rental property and its furnishing caused by the renters or their guests. Should the damage amount exceed the amount of the deposit, the renters remain liable for the balance. The renters shall assume responsibility for any willful or negligent damages to the Bunkie and its premises.
3. Keys to the Bunkie are included in the damage deposit. If the key to the Bunkie is not returned, the Quarry Park Manager may use $100.00 of the security deposit for reimbursement.
4. No animals permitted inside Bunkies or on Bunkie sites. An excessive cleaning charge will be deducted from the security deposit if any evidence of animals is apparent.
5. Bunkie rental fees do not provide access to other Quarry Park facilities such as Kinsmen Lake, Fines Field Ball Diamonds or the Heritage Arts Centre and the Interpretive Centre.
6. Check in time is between 4:00 PM and 9:00 PM. Late arrivals will be required to park in the campground visitor parking lot overnight. No early check-ins without consent of the Quarry Park Manager.
7. Check out time is 12:00 PM on the day your scheduled reservation ends. Any delay in check-out, without prior consent of the Quarry Park Manager shall result in the renter being charged additional monies which will be deducted from the security deposit. The renter will not be refunded for a late arrival or early departure.
8. Check-in and check-out times are to be adhered to, unless otherwise arranged with the Quarry Park Manager. Early arrival and/or late departure may result in an extra fee to the renters.
9. Renters are not to create excessive noise at a level that disturbs neighbors or other guests at any time. In accordance with the Town of Stonewall Nuisance Noise By-Law 06-24, quiet time is from 11:00 PM until 8:00 AM. Any disturbances resulting in police action, neighborhood complaints or any violation of the rules and regulations is considered sufficient cause for immediate termination of your stay with all the monies paid forfeited.
10. In accordance with the Town of Stonewall Firearms By-Law 04-24, firearms such as air rifles, pellet guns, paintball guns, bows, slingshots, or any other like weapons are not permitted in the campground/Quarry Park.
11. In accordance with the Town of Stonewall Reduced Speed Zone By-Law 10-23, the campground speed limit is 20 km/hour.
12. In accordance with the Town of Stonewall Burning By-Law 02-24, campfires are prohibited except in designated fire pits and must be extinguished anytime the campfire is unattended or when the Bunkie is unoccupied. The cutting or gathering of living or dead wood is prohibited in the campground/Quarry Park.
13. For security purposes the campground gates will be locked from Monday to Friday is 10:00 PM until 10:00 AM. On weekends it is 10 PM until 8:00 AM.
14. Bunkie sites must be maintained in a clean, tidy, and acceptable condition at all times.
15. Portable camping toilets are not allowed inside Bunkies or on the Bunkie site. Washrooms are available in the campground for renters.
16. No Bunkie will be registered to anyone under the age of 21 years of age. Proof of age must be produced if requested.
17. In accordance with the Town of Stonewall Nuisance Noise By-Law 06-24, explosive or noise making devices such as firecrackers, rockets, or other fireworks are not permitted in the campground/Quarry Park.
18. Alcoholic beverages may only be consumed on the Bunkie site. Open alcoholic beverages are prohibited on all public property, the lake, playgrounds, roadways, and green spaces.
19. All Visitors require a Day Pass which can be picked up at the camp gate. Visitors are permitted on the Bunkie site from Monday to Friday 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM. On weekends it is 10 PM until 8:00 AM. A campsite may be occupied after 10:00 PM only by the permit holder and registered occupants as indicated on the camping permit. The permit holder is responsible for the conduct of all persons using the site. The maximum number of visitors is four (4) / site.
20. The maximum number of motorized vehicles that may be parked on site is two (2). All other vehicles must be parked in designated visitor parking areas of the campground parking lot. Vehicles may not be parked in any site other than the site the vehicle is registered to. Vehicles must not be parked in such a manner as to block the driveway of a neighboring site or to obstruct or impede traffic flow on campground roads.
21. The operation of all vehicles within the campground/Quarry Park must comply with the Motor Vehicle Act.
22. Rental property should be left in the same condition as originally found. The Bunkie is equipped for light housekeeping. Basic cleaning supplies are provided and available for renters to assist with cleanup before check-out.
23. Renters are responsible to:
a. Remove all contents and dispose of garbage in designated bins located at the camp gate.
b. Put all furniture and other Bunkie contents back in the found position.
If the Bunkie is not left in this condition, this may result in an additional cleaning charge, and will be deducted from the deposit.
24. Smoking and/or vaping is not allowed inside or immediately around the Bunkie. An excessive cleaning charge will be deducted from the security deposit if smoking in the Bunkie is evident. Any damage due to cigarette burns, including the exterior deck, buildings or property will be deducted from your deposit. Cigarette butts must be disposed of properly.
25. Renters will comply with all local laws, ordinances, and community rules regarding the use of the premises. Renters will comply with all Quarry Park Rules.
26. The Bunkie and property is property of the Town of Stonewall. The Town of Stonewall is not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The Town of Stonewall is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest.
27. The Quarry Park Manager/Town of Stonewall is not responsible for any inconveniences that may occur for which they have no control over. This includes, but is not limited to power outages, adverse weather conditions, mandatory evacuation, construction, mechanical failure, etc. No refunds will be given for occurrences beyond the Quarry Park Manager/Town of Stonewalls control.
28. All guests are to respect all wildlife.
29. Renters will allow staff members of the Town of Stonewall to access the Bunkie in cases of required repair, and the staff members will use the access reasonably.
30. All information provided by the renters must be accurate and free from errors. The Bunkie Rental Agreement is binding, and if the renters do not adhere to the rules of the agreement, the Quarry Park Manager has the right to either terminate the rental agreement and or keep the renter’s security deposit.
