As part of Emergency Preparedness Week (May 3–9), the Manitoba Emergency Management Organization (EMO) has launched the new MB Ready app, Manitoba’s public emergency information platform.
What is MB Ready?
MB Ready provides real‑time, location‑based emergency alerts and information to help Manitobans stay informed and safe during emergency situations. Alerts and information may include:
- Severe weather
- Wildfires
- Flooding
- Road closures
- Power outages
- Other local hazards
Users can choose to receive alerts for specific locations they care about, such as their home, workplace, or family members’ communities.
Preparedness Resources
In addition to emergency alerts, MB Ready includes helpful preparedness information, such as:
- Emergency kit guidance
- Household emergency planning tools
- Information on local risks
Emergency Preparedness Week is an important reminder to take proactive steps to prepare yourself, your family, and your community for potential emergencies.
