In 1910 S.L. Vincent, J. Morton, J. Bruton, J. Stratton, W.T. Vincent, O. Lillies, F. Fraser and J.A. Vincent were a team of Stonewall men who won the J.T. Speirs Trophy.
This trophy was their award for winning the Manitoba Tug-o-war Championship.

West Nile Mosquito Fogging: Round 2 scheduled for August 6 or 7 at 9:30 PM
The Town of Stonewall advises residents that the Province of Manitoba has issued a health order to fog for mosquitoes capable of transmitting West Nile Virus because these mosquito populations have reached levels that warrant control measures. Fogging for the entire Town with a 3km buffer will take place July 31 & either August 6th or 7th starting at 9:30 PM and is estimated to take 4 to 5 hours.
