PUBLIC NOTICE – STORM UPDATE AND INFRASTRUCTURE STATUS

PUBLIC NOTICE – STORM UPDATE AND INFRASTRUCTURE STATUS
The Town would like to provide residents with an update following the recent storm event and overland flooding.
Wastewater System: All lift stations are currently operational; however, they are running at or near capacity. Residents are strongly encouraged to limit unnecessary water use (such as laundry, dishwashing, and prolonged showering) over the next 24–48 hours to allow the system to recover.
Drinking Water: There are no issues with the water treatment plant. Water quality has been tested and remains safe for consumption.
Surface Drainage: Conditions are expected to gradually improve over the next 24 to 48 hours, provided there is no additional significant rainfall.
Disaster Financial Assistance: Residents who have experienced significant damage as a result of the storm may be eligible to submit a claim through the Province of Manitoba’s Disaster Financial Assistance program. More information and how to submit the form is available at: https://www.gov.mb.ca/emo/funding/dfa/individual-claimants.html
FORM: https://www.gov.mb.ca/asset_library/en/emo/insurance-declaration-form.pdf
The Town thanks residents for their patience and cooperation as crews continue to monitor conditions and respond as needed. Updates will be provided as new information becomes available.
