FALL YARD WASTE NOTICE
TO THE RESIDENTS OF THE TOWN OF STONEWALL
Pursuant to Section 7.4 of the Town of Stonewall Waste Management By-law effective Monday, October 1st to Thursday November 7th, 2018, residents shall be allowed to place MORE than the regular three (3) bags of allowable Yard Waste at the curb for collection. Permitted bags for Yard Waste are orange, yellow, clear or PAPER!
Allowable Yard Waste consists of:-grass clippings
-leaves
-garden and flower bed vegetation
COMPOSTING PROGRAM
The Town of Stonewall, in cooperation with a local enterprise, will again be composting yard waste in 2018. In order to be used for composting, yard waste CANNOT CONTAIN domestic waste such as wrappers, bags or cans, tree limbs or branches, pet excrement or household waste including food waste.
OTHER REMINDERS:
Tree limbs/branches may be placed at the curb provided they are bundled and tied and are not more than one meter in length.
E-Waste can be taken to the Rockwood Transfer Station. For times & information please call (204) 467-9490.
SPECIAL NOTE: Please keep in mind the Town of Stonewall Burning By-law 06-18 PROHIBITS THE BURNING OF YARD WASTE (leaves, grass clippings, twigs, branches, garden and flower bed vegetation) within the limits of the Town of Stonewall.
