Town of Stonewall Launching Hometown Heroes Initiative
Town of Stonewall seeking to honour Hometown Heroes
STONEWALL, April 17, 2020 – As the impact of the pandemic continues and many of us self isolate there are countless in our community that are at work everyday so that we can have food, are safe in our homes, or can get medical attention if we need it. The Town of Stonewall is looking to recognize these local Hometown Heroes for keeping our community going and for keeping us safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.
"Without these dedicated residents, we would be lost,” stated Mayor Clive Hinds.
Residents are invited to submit a photo and short story about a person they would like to recognize for their contributions to our community through email at info@stonewall.ca. A new hero picture and story will be posted each day of the week on the Town’s social media. www.facebook.com/stonewallmb/
Stonewall is a vibrant community and by working together, Council is confident we can reduce the health and safety risks for Town residents during these unprecedented times. Please help us celebrate our heroes. Stay healthy and safe.
